The primary mission of the Highlands Fire District is to protect the lives and property of our citizens and visitors. Fire suppression is just one of the many services we provide. Our goal is to extinguish both structure and wildland fires efficiently and effectively. The Fire District is able to meet this goal through employing highly trained and motivated personnel. Responses to fires are enhanced by an automatic aid system which delivers appropriate people and equipment from across the region rapidly. The foundation of the Highlands Fire District is firmly rooted in our community, and our commitment to you, our neighbors remains steadfast.

Highlands Fire District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Highlands Fire District
has a policy of providing an accessible website compatible with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and
commercial screen reading software. All features of the website are coded to allow individuals with vision and
other impairments to understand and use the website to the same degree as someone without disabilities. We welcome
feedback and can often resolve issues in a timely manner if they arise.
