Meetings of the Fire Board

All meetings of the Highlands Fire District are public meetings, and all persons so desiring are permitted to attend and listen to the deliberations and proceedings.  All legal actions of the District shall occur during a public meeting. The District provides for the taking of written minutes of the meetings, which will include an accurate description of all legal actions proposed, discussed, or taken.

Notice of Regular Meetings

Pursuant to A.R.S. §38-431.02 (A)(3), notice is hereby given to the members of the Highlands Fire District Board of Directors and to the general public that the Highlands Fire District Board of Directors will hold its regular meeting on the third Tuesday of each month. The meetings will begin at 5:00 PM, which will be held at 3350 Old Munds Hwy, Flagstaff, Arizona. Public access to the meeting room will be allowed 15 minutes prior to the start of the meeting. In addition to the physical location, meetings are also available for viewing on Zoom video conferencing. Login information is available on the Fire Board agenda each month. Under special circumstances, meetings may need to be cancelled and rescheduled to an alternate date.

The agenda for Board meetings will be posted at the following locations at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting:

  • Front Entrance, Highlands Fire District, Fire Station 23, 3350 Old Munds Hwy, Flagstaff, Arizona.
  • Forest Highlands Mailroom, 2011 Forest Highlands Drive, Flagstaff, Arizona.

The meeting agenda will also be available below. A copy of the agenda may be obtained upon request to the Highlands Fire District by calling (928) 525-1717 or visiting Highlands Fire District Administration.

Meeting Agendas and Minutes

Fire Board meeting minutes are posted on the website after approval the following month. Upon written request, a digital recording shall be made available for public inspection three working days after each meeting, and will be available until the written minutes are presented and approved at the next regular meeting.
